Jeremy Brown
Jeremy Brown's early studies were at the Royal Academy of Music where he won many prizes both for solo playing and chamber music.
Further studies followed in Israel where he appeared with orchestra and in recital on radio and television.
Whilst in Israel he was a prize winner and bronze medalist in the International Arthur Rubinstein Piano Masters Competition which resulted in a final return to England and a Wigmore Hall debut.
As a soloist he has given first performances of works by Elisabeth Lutyens and Shostakovich and as a member of Piano 40 has given first performances of some 25 works especially written for the group at the South Bank.
He has recorded for EMI, Classics for Pleasure and Chandos and has taught for many years at the Royal Academy of Music. |
